Four kinds of practice

They are not the same thing, and using the wrong one at the wrong stage costs months.

Previous Year Papers

The real paper, exactly as it was set. Nothing here is written by us, so it is the only honest measure of what your examiner actually asks - and of where you stand today. Sit these first. You can only sit each one once before you start remembering the answers.

Mock Test

A full-length paper written by us, in the same format and the same interface, with fresh questions of the same kind. Past papers show you what was asked; mocks prepare you for what will be. You need both.

Minor Mock Test

Fifteen minutes, one topic, medium-to-hard questions. A full mock takes three hours, so only a few fit into a week. When your analytics say perspective is costing you marks, you do not sit another full paper - you sit five Minor Mocks on perspective.

Practice Paper

Untimed questions grouped by topic, worked through with the material open beside you. No clock, no score. This is where you learn the method; the mock is where you prove you can do it under time.

Your Analytics

A score out of 100 tells you almost nothing on its own. These panels tell you what to do next.

How far you have come

Every test you have sat, plotted in order. One bad paper looks like failure on its own; in a line of twelve it is a dip. This is the panel that keeps students going in month three, when progress is real but invisible day to day.

Your subject profile

Accuracy broken down by subject and topic. Nearly every student is losing most of their marks in two or three places while studying everything equally - this finds those places. The difference between "work harder" and "work on visual reasoning".

Where you stand

One dot for every student who sat the paper, and yours among them. Design entrances are ranked, not passed, so 62 percent means nothing until you know how many people are ahead of you.

Your approach

Not what you scored, but how you sat the paper - your pace, where the time went, what you attempted and what you left. Two students with the same score often have opposite problems: one too slow, one too rash. The fix is different for each.

Ask someone who sat it

You can measure your score. You cannot measure whether your portfolio is the kind that gets shortlisted, or what the studio test is actually like to sit. These sessions put you in front of alumni of the college you are targeting - people who sat the same exam and studied there.

Bring the real questions

Practical ones about the exam, honest ones about the career. You get an answer from someone who has been through it rather than a brochure. For a lot of students this is the session that changes what they aim for.

Design entrances are not multiple choice all the way through. Sketching, visualisation and design aptitude are marked by human examiners against criteria no software can apply - so we do not pretend otherwise.
